MFI is currently involved in five major programs.

MFI launched its Home Education and Livelihood (HEAL) Program in 2015 to provide quality education up to senior high school to underprivileged, out of school youth and adult learners. The program allows learning at home using Department of Education approved modules. Tutors are provided to the learners for mentoring in HEAL Centers. MFI believes that a senior high school education and diploma significantly increases the chance of heretofore out of school youth to either get relevant technical training, proceed to college or be gainfully employed.

Scholarship in Education and Sciences

The Philippines has consistently ranked lower than most participating countries in international assessments for Math and Science. We have also failed to produce enough good quality graduates in non–liberal arts courses at this age when much of a country's growth is anchored on technology. MFI provides scholarships to selected college students particularly in the science, technology, technical training, education, engineering, and mathematics (STTEEM).

There are many differently abled – blind, deaf, mute and lame – as well as indigenous peoples – who are unproductive because of lack of access to education or training tailored to their limitations. MFI supports the education and training of these segments of the population to enable them to be fully integrated as productive members of society.

Support for Priestly Vocation

MFI believes that members of communities that are spiritually nourished stand a chance of having better quality of life than otherwise. Priests play an essential role in nourishing communities spiritually, unfortunately, there is a dearth of priests because of the inability of many who have the vocation and calling to afford the cost of education in seminaries. MFI provides financial support to selected religious and diocesan seminarians.

The Filipina Achievers in Rural Education Award (FLORA) recognizes outstanding women in rural education. It is a reality that a big percentage of schools in rural areas generally lag behind in the quality of education compared to what is made available in the urban centers, be they run by the government or private sector. It must also be noted that in many areas, women are disadvantaged because of bias or stereotyping. By recognizing women who make their mark in rural education, MFI trains the spotlight on two sectors that need uplifting: rural education and women.
